Kimbrell, Valverde Win IBWAA Relief Pitcher Awards
The IBWAA announced its relief pitcher awards Friday, naming Braves' Craig Kimbrel the Hoyt Wilhelm NL Relief Pitcher of the Year, and Tigers' Jose Valverde the Rollie Fingers the AL Relief Pitcher of the Year.
Online, November 17, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Los Angeles - The Internet Baseball Writers Association of America (IBWAA) announced its relief pitcher awards Friday, naming Atlanta Braves' Craig Kimbrel the Hoyt Wilhelm National League Relief Pitcher of the Year, and the Detroit Tigers' Jose Valverde the Rollie Fingers American League Relief Pitcher of the Year. The awards were created for the IBWAA in 2010.
