KELA Partners With Snowflake to Deliver Data and Intelligence From Its Unique Security Data Lake

KELA, the leading provider of cybercrime threat intelligence, today announced a partnership with Snowflake, the Data Cloud company, in which KELA will list their security data in Snowflake's marketplace as DARKBEAST Community and DARKBEAST Enterprise. KELA holds a rich bank of historical, processed intelligence from the hardest-to-reach sources around the internet.

Commenting on the partnership, Itsik Kesler, CTO, said: "We are excited to announce our unique and historical security data lake is available in one more way via Snowflake. Reaching cybercrime sources is difficult and high-risk, yet through this partnership, all data is now available in a safe and structured way for Snowflake customers."

KELA's Annual Cybercrime Intelligence Report found the number of companies attacked by ransomware nearly doubled from 1460 victims in 2020 to 2860 in 2021. Many of these sources are extremely hidden within the cybercrime underground and include ransomware blogs, ransomware negotiation portals, Telegram, data leak sites, and public reports.

As part of its continuing mission to empower organizations to neutralize relevant threats and shed light on the unknown, undetected cybercrime activity, the partnership will empower KELA's DARKBEAST Community with visibility into underground operations to stay ahead of attackers while maintaining anonymity and abiding by any security restrictions.

Users can expect to enrich their knowledge and deepen their understanding of the cybercrime underground with KELA's top highlights, illuminated by intelligence experts. KELA's DARKBEAST Community empowers researchers with the most recent and relevant findings to increase awareness of emerging threats and trends.

KELA's DARKBEAST Enterprise contains a combination of data automatically collected from a variety of cybercrime underground sources and intelligence insights provided by cyber intelligence subject matter experts. This data - spanning closed forums, illicit markets, automated cybercrime shops, instant messaging channels used by criminals, and more - can be used by defenders in order to understand how their infrastructure is viewed by attackers and facilitate intelligence-driven defense.
