Jin Feibao Honored at 'Run for Advocacy of UN Sustainable Development Goals' Event at UN Headquarters
On Oct. 30, 2019, UCT International Culture Development, Inc. hosted an event titled "Run for Advocacy of 'Article 3 - Good Health & Well-being" under the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals" at the UN headquarters in New York City. Jin Feibao, a famous explorer, founder of the Fairyland 100 Marathon, and standing vice-president of the China Adventure Association, was presented an Outstanding Achievement Award for the Organizing Committee of the Fairyland 100 Marathon, honoring its accomplishments and advocacy in support of 'Article 3'.
KUNMING, China, November 6, 2019 (Newswire.com) - On Oct. 30, 2019, UCT International Culture Development, Inc. (a non-governmental organization with consultative status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council) hosted an event titled “Run for Advocacy of ‘Article 3 - Good Health & Well-being" under the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals” at the UN headquarters in New York City. Guests with different cultural backgrounds attended the event. They included sports fans from 10 different countries, members of the UCT, members of the U.S. Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers & Associations, and individuals from arts and finance circles. The hosts invited special guest Mr. Jin Feibao, a famous explorer, founder of the Fairyland 100 Marathon, and standing vice-president of the China Adventure Association, to share his life experiences of running.
This event started with the American song “We Are the World,” sung by star singers Jackie Desouza and Omar Haddad. Yiling Li, president of UCT International Culture Development, Inc., gave a welcoming speech to the guests. Then, Mr. Jin Feibao, who came all the way from China, vividly shared his story of running to advocate “‘Article 3 - Good Health & Well-being under the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.” Mr. Jin Feibao further detailed his experience of running 100 marathons in 100 days, including the hardship and the challenges he endured. The audience was shocked and moved by his achievements. Jin Feibao closely interacted with and took questions from the rapt audience.
It is a great honor for the Fairyland 100 Marathon and me to receive these two very important awards and a huge encouragement for the Fairyland 100 Marathon to receive such an honor. The Fairyland 100 Marathon will launch the "56 Nationalities Will Join Hands to Engage in Healthy Travel in China" campaign in 2020, making a greater contribution to continue to advocate the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.

A representative of Assemblyman and Deputy Speaker Gordon M. Johnson, from the state of New Jersey, presented an Outstanding Contribution Award to Mr. Jin Feibao. The award was jointly signed by Senator Loretta Weinberg, Assembly members Gordon M. Johnson, and Valerie Vainieri Huttle. A representative of Mr. Guy Djoken, who is the Chairman of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations, presented an Outstanding Achievement Award to the Organizing Committee of the Fairyland 100 Marathon, honoring its accomplishments and advocacy in support of “‘Article 3 Good Health & Wellbeing’ under the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals”.

In addition, the host held a photo exhibition of the Fairyland 100 Marathon. The exhibition highlights spectacular moments of Jin Feibao’s team during the 100 marathons in Yunnan.
The event, advocating “‘Article 3 Good Health & Wellbeing’ under 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals”, also included songs and dances from different parts of the world to entertain the attendants. Lastly, the star singers sang the Stevie Wonder song “Higher Ground” and invited Mr. Jin Feibao and other guests to join them on stage to run along with the upbeat song. The event closed on a happy note.
