Jacob Hegeman to Rejoin Stateside Associates as Vice President
Online, October 20, 2011 (Newswire.com) - ARLINGTON, VA - Stateside Associates announced today that Jacob Hegeman, will join the company as Vice President on November 7. He currently serves as National State Liaison at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS).
Hegeman will provide issue management services to clients and will manage the regulatory practice, which includes the Regulatory ForecastingSM service. In a previous position with Stateside Associates, Hegeman served as Senior Regulatory Counsel. In that capacity he managed the regulatory team and contributed to the firm's consulting work on environmental and natural resource issues. "I look forward to returning to work at Stateside Associates. In my time there I made many lasting connections and it's where I began my career in state government affairs," said Hegeman.
In his role with USDA Hegeman worked closely with state officials on agriculture and natural resource issues. He was brought on-board at the Agency to create and maintain a state government affairs program for which he served as the contact for the 50 State Departments of Agriculture. Hegeman worked alongside Agency leadership and these state partners to improve regulatory processes and enhance communication and coordination on a wide range of animal and plant health issues.

Hegeman earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and his Juris Doctor from Tulane Law School with honors. He travels as often as he can and enjoys alpine skiing.
