Irish Academy of Public Relations Announces Agreement with World Trade Centre in Uruguay to Promote Their PR Course in South America
Online, February 17, 2014 (Newswire.com) - The Irish Academy of Public Relations announced today (17 Feb 2014) that it has entered into a formal agreement with the World Trade Centre Montevideo to promote the Academy's Online Certificate in Public Relations course in Spanish, throughout Uruguay and Paraguay. The first course will start on 13 March 2014.
"The uniqueness of this course is that our tutors are all fluent Spanish speakers who are PR qualified, work in the industry, and offer real-world up-to-date advice and guidance to students" said Ellen Gunning, director of the Irish Academy.
There is a hunger to learn how things are done in Europe and on an international stage. The Academy's courses combine academic knowledge with European and American-based tutors who bring the theory to life.
"If you want to learn theory, you can study a book. If you want to acquire skills and learn how to practice professionally, you need advice, guidance and mentoring. Each student on our online course has their own personal tutor", she added. On graduation, students join a world-wide alumnus of Academy PR professionals.
The public relations course is of benefit to people who run small to medium sized businesses and want to learn how to promote their products and services. Larger companies often enrol staff members to increase their skillsets, while individuals study the course to add new qualifications to their CV and enhance their employment prospects. The course is taught online over ten weeks. Participants complete one module per week and can enrol directly at http://www.irishacademy.com/us/online-courses/online-certificate-in-pr/study-in-spanish/informacion-del-curso.
"On behalf of the World Trade Centre Montevideo, I am delighted to bring this prestigious course to Uruguay and Paraguay. This is a wonderful opportunity to have an internationally renowned online education provider bringing its expertise and experience to South America. The Irish Academy has been established for over 20 years and has graduates all over the world. World Trade Centre Montevideo is pleased to work closely with the Academy to introduce their Public Relations Certificate in the region and we look forward to working with the Irish Academy into the future", said Professor Nelson Pilosof, president of World Trade Centre Montevideo.
The Certificate in Public Relations course teaches students how to write press releases, organise photo-calls or generate publicity. Participants will also find out about writing ezines and newsletters, taking part in exhibitions and how to handle a crisis.
Tutors have years of experience in the public relations industry. They use real-world situations to reinforce learning.
