Invents Unveils "Cork Trimmer", Keep Opened Bottle of Costly Wine Fresh For Later

This unique Cork Trimmer re-shapes a cork so that it will fit back into an opened bottle of wine keeping fresh for a delicious fresh glass at a later time.

Wine lovers seem to love their wine accessories as much as their wine. In recent years many people spend money, sometimes hundreds of dollars on accessories to help them open, drink, store, and even decorate their wine. The wine accessories market is a nearly billion dollar industry including everything from corkscrews to stemware. A new wine accessory product, the Cork Trimmer is a creative solution for getting a swollen wine cork back into the wine bottle to preserve the remaining wine. It safely shaves or trims down one end of a cork to allow one to easily insert it back into the opened bottle.

The Patent Pending Cork Trimmer was invented by Pio De Matteo of Watchung, NJ, who said, “Operating like an old fashioned pencil sharpener, the Cork Trimmer shapes one end of a cork by uniformly shaving it to allow for easy re-insertion into a bottle. One simply inserts the cork into the open end of the Cork Trimmer and rotates. Angled blades gently trim a very small thickness at the inserted end of the cork. The cork can then be tested on the bottle. If more trimming is needed, one simply repeats the process until the cork fits snugly, yet easily, within the bottle.”

"Wine is often called the nectar of the gods but if it is stale that is a false comment. The Cork Trimmer keeps the opened bottle of wine fresh and tasty, preserving the contents for the next glass at a later date."

Pio De Matteo, Inventor

The inventor added, “The Cork Trimmer is made of high impact plastic and available in various colors, but versions can also include stainless steel, wood or silver to accommodate the full range of wine accessory buyers. Whatever the casing, the blades are of high quality stainless steel to prevent rusting and to last for many years. Not only does this product help to preserve pricey wines, saving consumers countless dollars in otherwise wasted stale wine, higher end versions of the Cork Trimmer can also quickly become a useful collectible for wine connoisseurs.”
