New Berlin, WI, April 30, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Greater Milwaukee and Flat Rate Home Services will be getting more national attention when House Hunters comes to town.
AJ Fink, manager of Flat Rate Home Services, a family-owned and operated plumbing, heating and cooling company in New Berlin owned by his father-in-law, was more surprised than anyone when his wife, Jamie, told him they were going to be appearing on a nationally aired television show.
After living in a condo with 5 kids and 2 dogs, AJ and Jamie knew it was time to look for a place where the kids had their own yard. Sharing walls and outdoor living space was not fun for anyone. “We knew that planting roots had to happen soon. Doing a move while our kids are in middle or high school was not something we wanted to put them through.” -AJ Fink, Manager, Flat Rate Home Services
They began searching for a new home and, on a whim, Jamie wrote to HGTV’s ‘House Hunters’.
‘House Hunters’ television show takes viewers behind the scenes as individuals, couples, and families learn what to look for and decide whether or not a home is meant for them. Focusing on the emotional experience of finding and purchasing a new home, each episode shows the process as buyers search for a home.
“It was an exciting honor for our family to be chosen for HGTV ‘House Hunters.’ We still cannot believe it. It is another reminder that we are truly blessed,” added AJ.
Last week a production crew swept into the offices of Flat Rate Home Services to begin filming AJ in his element – working side by side with his family. The producers will be back again in June for more filming and will take the Fink family through more homes in the area.
The episode is scheduled to air in late Summer/early Fall. Viewers can tune in to HGTV to catch this local family as they search for their dream home.
