TW Shortt, small business owner, entrepreneur and Councilman in the City of Radcliff, filed to seek election to the office of Kentucky House of Representatives, 10th District that covers Hancock, Breckinridge and portions of Hardin County, Kentucky.

TW Shortt files to seek election to the Kentucky House of Representatives in the tenth district of Kentucky.

Shortt is a city legislator, entrepreneur, small business owner, civic and business leader, air cavalry Vietnam war veteran, and a retired Army non-commissioned officer seeing service in Vietnam, Korea, Germany and Forts Riley and Knox.

Shortt founded a real estate brokerage in 1988 servicing 30-40 agents with offices in Radcliff and Elizabethtown Kentucky. He developed an affordable housing subdivision, marketed and sold commercial, business, investor and private properties. The brokerage continues today under the leadership of his daughter.

As a councilman, Shortt has taken a business and systematic approach to local government operations and economic improvement stressing efficiency, responsibility, accountability, and fair and equal dealings with all.

In announcing his candidacy, Shortt said, “I want to work to develop the Hancock-Breckinridge-Hardin County 10th District economy that has been long overlooked. Given the new leadership and vigor in Frankfort I will be a solid force for our district’s economic improvement; and as a career small businessman I want government to get out of the way and provide the help I need to be a success.”
