Halong Luxury Travel Announce 60,000 Customers

Luxury Halong Bay cruise specialists Halong Luxury Travel announced this week that they have just booked their 60,000th customer in the fifteen years that they have been in operation. From small beginnings, the company has grown to be a major player

Most tours start in Hanoi where tourists can be collected either from the airport or the their hotel. A morning drive through the local countryside takes them out to Halong City to meet up with the tour boat of their choice. The boats are of exception design and build. They afford the traveler far more luxurious accommodation than previous seen in and around the bay. They are built in the styles of tradition junks, sampans and river cruisers.

The Bay itself is of course the real star of the show. This is an enormous area, covering some six hundred square miles and harbouring a huge diversity of flora and fauna. Named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994, it was also recently voted as one of the Seven Wonders of Nature in a global poll.

The Luxury Halong Bay cruises ran by the company take tourists around the bay, stopping off at different islands and providing many other activities. Whether it is to explore caves or enjoy a barbecue on one of the many beaches, these excursions are well organised.

Kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, squid fishing, cycling and trekking are among the very many other activities enjoyed in this magnificent biosphere. The cruise boats offer all these and more. Customers simply look at the various itineraries and choice the cruise they want.

Once on board, customers enjoy a luxury private cabin with large windows affording exceptional views as the craft slips between the many islands in the bay. Private balconies allow an even higher level of intimacy. Food on board is of a particular high standard as all vessels employ top class chefs. All come with well stocked bars.

One of the most popular excursions from these boats is to see the famous Sung Sot , or Surprise, Cave. This is a spectacular cavern on the island of Bo Hon. The cave boasts many fine examples of stalagmite and stalactite and some amazing rock formations. In its deepest recesses there is a feature that goes by the name of "the Royal garden'. This unusual geographic features had a pond, surround by what look like small mountains. There are fig trees growing here and many species of birds. At certain times of the day a group of monkeys gather to feed from the trees.

These and many more features will continue to be enjoyed by future customers of Halong Luxury Travel. They have enjoyed great success in recent years and look like continuing in the same vein. If anything the Bay is growing in popularity. Safety concerns appear to be a thing of the past as strict new safety regulations and weeded out the smaller and less professional tour companies.
