G.J. Gardner Homes, a Central Valley-based home building company, has unveiled their ten unique Granny Flat home designs to be built throughout the state of California. A granny flat is also known as an accessory dwelling unit (ADU), secondary dwelling, lane way house, or in-law suite. Recent California laws (SB 1069, AB 2299, and AB 2406) significantly reduce restrictions on building accessory dwelling units, or Granny Flats. These units are self-contained living spaces that are either attached or detached to the primary residence and located on the same property. With minimal available land throughout California, G.J. Gardner has jumped on the opportunity to help provide a solution for homeowners needing more space.

Ranging from 387 to 1,148 square feet, the G.J. Gardner Granny Flats offer one-, two- and three-story home designs with up to three bedrooms. Interiors feature open floor plans that connect the kitchen, eating and living area.
