FORE School Of Management XX Convocation - May 10, 2013
Online, May 22, 2013 (Newswire.com) - The XX Annual Convocation of [url:http://www.fsm.ac.in FORE School of Management [/url]was graced by Mr. D. Shivakumar, President AIMA and Senior Vice President India, Middle East and Africa for Nokia, who was the Chief Guest for the ceremony held on Friday, May 10th, 2013. 171 students of the PGDM (FMG - 20th Batch), 59 students of the PGDM (IMG - 5th Batch) and 28 students of the PGDM (WMG-19th Batch) were honoured with their diplomas.
For the Batch of 2013, the highest CTC for the international placement is at Rs. 32 Lac p.a., in comparison to Rs. 39.6 Lac p.a. in 2012. The highest domestic CTC for the batch is at Rs. 15 Lac p.a., in comparison to Rs. 12.5 Lac p.a. last year. The average CTC so far is approximately Rs. 7.5 Lac p.a. For final placements, the major recruiters have been from the IT Sector, followed by the Banking & Financial Services Industry, Consumer Durables, Market Research & Consulting, Financial Services, Automobiles, etc.
FORE students from the Batch of 2012-14 are pursuing their Summer Internships in 90 companies and the highest stipend offered to students for the Summer Internship has been Rs. 50,000 per month, in comparison to Rs. 35,000 last year.
Mr. R.C. Sharma, President- FORE, while showering his blessings on the students, advised them about the importance of hard work, sincerity and honesty, which would help make a success of their careers. He reminded the students that "Learning is a lifelong process and you have to upgrade yourself time and again".
The Director-FORE, Dr. Jitendra K. Das, presented the activity report for the year 2012-13 and announced that FORE School had received the ASSOCHAM's "Best B School - North" award from the Hon'ble Union Minister for HRD, Dr. M. M. Pallam Raju, under the aegis of the "ASSOCHAM NATIONAL EDUCATION EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2013", on April 9th, 2013.
Mr. D. Shivakumar, President AIMA and Senior Vice President India, Middle East and Africa for Nokia, urged the graduating students to "Be GIANTs, not Pygmies" in his address, and also shared his thoughts on exactly how they could become giants in life. He also advised them further, "If you are good, money will follow you; if you have money, it's not necessary that you are good. Success and failure will cross your path in equal measure. Success doesn't last forever and failure is not fatal. Have the humility to deal with both success and failure in the same way". He also encouraged them to put in their best to become catalysts for India's progress.
The convocation ended with the students feeling recharged and bubbling over with the confidence to excel in their field of choice.
