FORE School of Management Wins Laurels at the SkillTree Great Place to Study, India Edition, 2014-16, in London
Online, August 1, 2014 (Newswire.com) - FORE School of Management was recently recognised at the SkillTree Great Place to Study, India Edition, 2014-16. It won a certificate in the category "Global League - Indian Institutes" and an award for "Maintaining Global Standards in Contributing to the Growth of the Indian Education System". The event was organized by the SkillTree Knowledge Consortium and Sterling Media, a premier name in international communications.
The House of Commons in London was the venue for the highly anticipated event held on June 24, 2014. Mr Bob Blackman, Hon'ble Member of Parliament, Conservative Party, UK was the Chief Guest for the evening that was attended by a 'who's who' in academia from India and the UK. In total, 20 institutes from India were celebrated for their efforts in education. FORE School of Management, New Delhi was one of the leading institutes that received the prestigious honour, which was received by Dr. Jitendra K. Das, Director of the institute.
It was, in many ways, a fitting reward for all the initiatives the institute has been taking to achieve high standards of academic excellence. In keeping with the changing times, FORE has constantly brought about innovative changes in the curriculum of its PGDM and PGDM (International Business) programmes. FORE also organizes exchange programs with reputed business schools/universities at international locations in order to offer students an international perspective. The International Immersion Programme involves a week-long programme for all 240 first year students with a reputed Business School at an international location. There are carefully designed seminars, workshops, conclaves and industry interfaces where students interact with academicians and senior industry practitioners in order to gain valuable inputs.
Speaking of the award won at this event, Dr. Das said, "It was a huge honour to receive the award. It is a recognition of over two decades of efforts in providing quality education to management students. We do our best to sharpen skills and enhance the knowledge base of our students so that they can go on to become successful professionals, leaders of tomorrow. We accept this award as an encouragement to keep up with our work and take things to a higher level."
That, in fact, seems to be the mantra for FORE School of Management, which takes several initiatives to ensure that students are groomed into well-rounded personalities. Not only does it promote a solid management education, it also ensures that students are ready for the challenges of their professional lives. That is why it focuses on offering them much needed industry exposure that keeps them informed of ever-changing business trends.
Earlier this year, the institute organized the 2nd National Summit on HR Shared Services, which was an enriching experience for students. It recently hosted the 4th Manufacturing Innovation Conclave, which not only inspired students but offered them an opportunity to interact with distinguished personalities in manufacturing. There are several other initiatives followed by the institute to make its students industry-ready and prepared for real world corporate life. The awards it has won are an acknowledgement of these efforts, which work towards the overall growth of future business leaders in India.
