Fidelity Communications is excited to announce that they are bringing powerful one-Gigabit (1 Gbps) carrier-level high speed data to Crosby Park Apartments in the city of Lawton, Oklahoma. Fidelity’s team is proud to bring this outstanding new service to the city of Lawton, bringing opportunity and value to the community.

This investment at Crosby Park marks the first of a three-phase project to bring high-speed data connections to three of Lawton’s apartment complexes: Crosby Park, Invitational, and Avendale apartments. Conversations between investors and Fidelity Communications has been ongoing since 2015, after the company was approached by apartment owners seeking a solution to lacking infrastructure. At Invitational, residents were without internet service, awaiting updates to substandard technology and hardware.

Fidelity is committed to adding value to the communities we serve. Installing fiber cables is a long-term commitment to the growth and enrichment of this part of our market.

Brian Alldredge, General Manager

“We are very pleased to bring the latest in technology advancements to Lawton,” said Brian Alldredge, General Manager of Fidelity Communications. “Fidelity is committed to adding value to the communities we serve. Installing fiber cables is a long-term commitment to the growth and enrichment of this part of our market.”

Eager to prove their capabilities to provide a solution, Fidelity has built over 2.5 miles of fiber cable lines, and wired new hardware in each apartment that will serve as the entry point for all three of Fidelity’s services. Unlike older coax services, the new fiber cable system is more reliable for residents and more energy efficient for the community.

A direct competitive product to Google Fiber, this advanced service is available to apartment complex residents at an introductory cost of $84.99 per month for the first year of service, pending credit approval. The service includes high speed data and video streaming as well as cable, phone and wireless services. The higher speeds support multiple video streams, high-end online gaming, unlimited wireless devices and rapid transfer of huge data files, along with the capability to handle bandwidth-draining applications.

This project marks the first major technology upgrade project in Lawton, Oklahoma. Fidelity engaged a team of 16 full-time employees for the engineering, design, and construction of this project, including a two-person team to rewire and install new hardware in over 216 homes in Crosby Park. At completion, the project will have covered over 700 homes with new hardware and fiber to the home. Fidelity is also expanding its fiber footprint in communities across the Midwest, and building facilities in additional residential areas to deliver reliable and affordable high-speed internet, video and phone service.
