Dr. Sam Ghosh Celebrates 7th Anniversary of the Ghosh Orthodontics Field at Spartan Stadium
North Schuylkill School District, Schuylkill County Hosts Unveiling
Pottsville, PA, October 25, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Dr. Ghosh has an orthodontist office in Pottsville, Hazleton and Allentown and has been a regular contributor to local schools through a program in which he donates $100 to the school of each of his patients who are students.
In 2010, Ghosh pledged to donate an additional $100,000 to North Schuylkill. Each year for 10 years, he gives the district $10,000. The field was renamed and dedicated in a ceremony on September 2, 2010 during the annual “Meet the Spartans Night”.
"I have patients all over and plenty in this district, and (Superintendent Andrew Smarkanic) is the first person that asked me," Ghosh said. "I wanted a way to give something back to the community. I don't believe there is anywhere you could put your money where it would be more useful than when you use it for the kids."
