Salim Karnaby, Discovery Point Franchise Owner
The new ownership change comes as previous owners, Nancy Fields and Cheri Livernois, announce their retirement. Nancy has been a part of Discovery Point for almost 28 years, starting in 1989 in Snellville, Ga, working in various corporate-owned centers before operating her own. Cheri joined Nancy – first as director and then as a partner in center ownership.
"I started with the company as a classroom teacher, then moved into management and then progressed to owning two franchises in the Atlanta area," says Fields. "I opened Discovery Point’s first center in Florida and I have absolutely loved every child enrolled at this center. I am excited to turn it over to Salim and Andrea, who I know will keep the integrity and quality of this location intact."
Discovery Point has nearly 50 centers and plans to expand further into the state in the next year.
