- Record Participation Expected at 2010 International Youth Floorball Tournament in Prague can confirm that a record 260 teams will participate in the 2010 International Youth Floorball Tournament, to be held 7th through 10th July in Prague.

Despite the recent travel complications caused by the Icelandic volcano eruptions, teams from a dozen countries will make their way to the Czech Republic in July for the competition.

Tournament organisers are also proud to announce that an Asian nation will be represented for the first time this year, with a team entry from Singapore taking part.

Other countries participating include the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, and Switzerland.

Those who wish to be a part of this exciting event are advised to book a Prague hotel soon for the best rates.

The 7th International Youth Floorball Tournament involves a round robin style of play in seven categories for boys and girls, ages 12 to 18.

Prizes are awarded to the winning teams in each category and to the best goalkeeper, best scorer, and most valuable player in each category.

Billed as a cultural exchange and educational endeavour as well as an international athletic competition, tournament organisers provide an activity card that allows participants to enjoy and explore Prague in between matches.

The card includes a public transportation ticket valid for the entire duration of the tournament, free admission to a variety of significant historical attractions, an exclusive athletes' party, a spirited closing programme, and other activities to be announced ahead of the event.
