Director of Buffalo Educational Charity, Educators of America, Embarks on Peace Corps Mission to Namibia, Charity to Build School in 2019
BUFFALO, NEW YORK, April 25, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Local educational charity, Educators of America, wished a safe journey to one of their own this week. Director and Business Development Specialist, Brett Claydon, embarked on a 2 year tour of duty with the US Peace Corps to Namibia, Africa where he will serve as an economic development volunteer. It is a tremendous honor to be selected to represent our country abroad in the Peace Corps, and Educators of America is privileged to have one of their very own selected to serve.
At an event to help raise funds for Brett’s transition to Namibia held on April 7th at the Pearl Street Grill, Executive Director of Educators of America, Mike Lynch, made an announcement to those in attendance: “In honor of Brett’s commitment to the service of others, and in accordance with our non-profit mission of connecting teachers with the tools they need to increase achievement, and with the support of our partners at the Joe Lang Foundation, Gaston Middle School, and all of our other valued stakeholders... Educators of America is sending a 10 member delegation to Africa in July of 2019. We are going to bring the hope and confidence that can only come from a free and public education to a local community... by building a school... to serve as a place of learning and community development, a place where true hope lives.”

"Africa is our world’s most youthful continent, with more than 50% of the population under 15 years old. Our world’s major challenges will be solved by people that are in middle school today and it behooves us all to guide students toward STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) careers."
