Dine the District Food Tour Returns May 4

The Riverwalk just got Munch, Munch, Munch Tastier! May 4, 2019, 1-4 p.m.

To kick off the spirit of Spring, the merchants of downtown Reno's Riverwalk District, a coalition of more than 75 businesses located along the Riverwalk in downtown Reno, have teamed up to organize the "Dine The District" Self-Guided Food Tour on Saturday, May 4, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Not only will guests have an opportunity to enjoy a variety of culinary delights from the best restaurants in the Reno area, the proceeds will help support the continued development of the Riverwalk District.

"Everybody benefits from a beautiful and active downtown river district," said Scott Dunseath, Riverwalk Merchants Association past president and owner of Reno eNVy in downtown Reno. "The area hosts special events and concerts and builds memories for members of our community; continuing to grow a vibrant dining district is yet another step in the right direction," said Britton Griffith, event coordinator and V.P. of operations for Reno Engineering.

The Riverwalk District is where foodies come to feast on the many options of culinary excellence located in the heart of Reno, Nevada. The Riverwalk features unique options in dining and entertainment, showcasing selections from around the world. Adding the title of Northern Nevada's new "Dining District" is one more attraction for the community.

The cost is $20 per person pre-sale and $25 the day of the event and FREE for children 10 years of age and under. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.renoriverwalk.org or during the day of the event. Tickets sales are limited to 700. Redeem tickets by presenting the receipt at the new Reno Tahoe Visitor Center located in the Reno eNVy store at 135 North Sierra Street Reno during the day of the event and receive a food tour map as formal admission to the self-guided tour on May 4.

The first "Dine The District" Self-Guided Food Tour hosted by the Riverwalk was held on June 9, 2012, and was an incredible success, with tickets selling out two hours before the event began. With the already very popular monthly Wine Walk, the Dine the District food tours provide another opportunity for the community to enjoy the area. Some of the food tours' participants include Wild River Grille, Walden’s, Dorinda’s Chocolates, Noble Pie Company, 7 Troughs, Bumble Bee Blooms & Boutique, Crafted Palette and an estimated 13 other merchants already located within the Riverwalk.

All the funds raised by the Riverwalk Merchants Association will help establish a safer, cleaner and more vibrant downtown area. To purchase tickets online, visit http://www.renoriverwalk.org or visit Reno eNVY the day of the event. RENO eNVy: 135 N. Sierra Street, Suite C, Reno NV, 89501 - (775) 682-3800

In addition to the food tour, the Riverwalk is home to the ever-popular monthly Wine Walk the third Saturday of every month and the Reno Beer Crawl the fourth Saturday of every month.
