Dermadry Celebrates Hyperhidrosis Awareness Month

This November, Dermadry celebrates Hyperhidrosis Awareness Month, an initiative launched by the International Hyperhidrosis Society. Over 385 million people suffer from uncontrollable excessive sweating, a medical condition known as hyperhidrosis, but often feel alone. Despite its widespread prevalence and significant impact on health and wellbeing, it is still misunderstood and underserved—even in the medical sector.

Dermadry has once again launched initiatives to highlight this month dedicated to raising awareness of this common but misunderstood condition. Their goal is to raise awareness of this condition and support the millions of individuals who are affected by hyperhidrosis worldwide. While hyperhidrosis is a serious sweating disorder that can lead to a wide range of negative impacts, there is hope in the form of support, resources, and treatments to help manage the condition.

Those with hyperhidrosis can sweat anytime, anywhere, at any temperature, and up to 4-5x more than the average person or what is needed for body temperature regulation. Despite hyperhidrosis affecting approximately 1 in 20 people worldwide, it continues to be misunderstood, stigmatized, and underdiagnosed. While no cure exists, a range of treatment options, such as Dermadry's home-use iontophoresis device treats excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) of the hands, feet, and underarmsthe three areas most commonly affected by the condition. Proper treatment can help those living with hyperhidrosis regain their confidence, and live comfortably dry.

Throughout the month, Dermadry will be providing clinicians, hyperhidrosis sufferers, and the general public with educational and practical information to help improve the understanding and management of extreme and uncontrollable sweating. Their Hyperhidrosis Awareness Month initiatives will also serve to inspire and motivate healthcare providers and patients to connect and build a community through social media. Watch Dermadry on its channels all November (and all year) for education content on hyperhidrosis diagnosis and treatment, and ways to get involved.

Those who follow Dermadry on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, and subscribe to their newsletter on their website during the month of November will have access to exclusive contests, giveaways, and content. Visit the International Hyperhidrosis Society and let's spread the word about hyperhidrosis together!
