Dec. 9 & 10 to Close Out LA Ren-Fest
HAMMOND, La., December 6, 2017 (Newswire.com) - This weekend is the last for the 2017 Louisiana Renaissance Festival. Completing six weeks of celebrating the 16th Century, the Village of Albright will close its gates for 11 months to await the 2018 season.
Fireworks shows each day will begin after dark at approximately 6 p.m. and will light up the skies of the Village and its surrounding Hammond, Louisiana, to mark the end of the festival. Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets to spread on the grass surrounding the lake and enjoy the show. Dressing for the Renaissance is still encouraged, and visitors are welcome to compete in the daily costume contest at 3 p.m. on the Queen Stage.
It has been an amazing Renaissance Festival. After five weeks of successful shows and thousands of visitors, it's time to say farewell until next year. Our artisans and staff have worked hard and now must take their leave to enjoy the holiday season with their families. This is the last weekend, though, and we will finish in style as always.

The final weekend of the Renaissance Festival still includes activities, demonstrations and a unique shopping experience. Additionally, beverage shows continue including the Royal High Tea, the Craft Beer Experience, the Wine Show and the Whisky Show. Events tend to sell out, and reservations are strongly encouraged. For shows that include alcoholic beverages, a valid ID is required.
The Louisiana Renaissance Festival opens at 9:45 a.m., and this weekend, nights will end with the fireworks show just after dark. Tickets to Ren-Fest are $20 for adults and $15 for children.
