Deans Has Been Involved in Waltham Forest High Street Development

An awnings manufacturer was commissioned by a local London borough council to renovate their high streets shop awnings.

The London Borough of Waltham Forest is a London borough in east London, England. At the end of 2012 the Waltham Forest Council committed to spending £9 million on improving the borough’s high streets.

Following on from the success of the shop front and street improvement works in Leyton and Walthamstow by Deans Blinds and Awnings UK, a leading blinds and awnings manufacturer, nine more areas were identified to receive a similar treatment.

The Council have already carried out refurbishment across all nine areas. Deans Blinds continue to be involved in this scheme with the latest work on Frances Road London E17.

On these three sites, the Designer at "We Made That" shop gave Deans a real graphics challenge and these awning covers were hand painted by Deans in house experts. The awnings are the traditional Deans Victorian Awnings made the same way they have been for 120 years.
