Countdown to OSIRIS Shooting Dates
Online, April 27, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Ian Patrick Anderson and Kasey Lubin, the makers of the short film OSIRIS, today announced that they plan to shoot their film in late May of 2011.
They launched an IndieGoGo campaign to help aid in the funding for the film, but Ian and Kasey seem determined to make the film happen one way or another.
OSIRIS, inspired by modernist experimental filmmakers of the twentieth century, promises to be visually poetic and even experimental.
It will be filmed in the Antelope Valley as well as Santa Barbara County.
The film is written and directed by Ian Patrick Anderson, who also stars in the film as OSIRIS alongside Cheyanne Gustason, who plays CASSANDRA. With only two main actors, this film is a pretty small gig, but there is at least one other actor, and a moderate sized crew for such a short production with such a small cast.
OSIRIS is being produced by Kasey Lubin, whose film "CONTROL" was just accepted to the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.
Calling itself a "Modern Myth" and claiming to draw upon Greek and Egyptian Mythology, it will be interesting to see just what the final result of the film will be. It is set in the 1960s-modern times, to be sure, but why set the film then and not in the present day to create a "modern myth"?
