Community HigherEd Partners With the Wise Foundation

Community Care College, Clary Sage College and Oklahoma Technical College partner with the Wise Foundation by providing a full-ride scholarship to one burn survivor.

Imagine earning a high-quality education, in the center of a thriving metropolis, at no personal expense.

The Wise Foundation, in conjunction with Community Care College, Clary Sage College and Oklahoma Technical College, is making this a possibility for one special burn survivor through its Change Challenge initiative.

"When the Change Challenge was initiated, it was developed with the end-goal of transforming a survivor's life," said burn survivor, Dustin Wise, Founder of the Wise Foundation. He continued, "Through generous sponsorship, we not only have an opportunity to inspire change; we have an opportunity to offer the Change Challenge recipient an elevated standard of living and an improved quality of life through the gift of higher education."

Nationwide, burn survivors are invited to share their stories of strength, motivation and perseverance.

Interested applicants must submit an application by Sunday, March 27, 2016, accompanied by two letters of recommendation and three essays. All applications will be reviewed in their entirety; applicants selected to move forward will be invited to interview with a selection committee.

The survivor that effectively demonstrates outstanding leadership ability and a well-researched argument will be granted a full-scholarship. In addition, the recipient will be eligible to receive additional coursework material, including books, free of charge.

The Wise Foundation, through the Change Challenge, is honored to provide burn survivors with resources that are critical in fostering positive, practical and purpose-driven opportunity. The Wise Foundation’s efforts to impact burn survivors lives originated as a student-run initiative at Oral Roberts University in 2011.
