College Admissions Assistance Awards Next Round of 2016 Scholarships

Anneliese Gordon

College Admissions Assistance (CAA) is proud to announce our scholarship contest winners, Anneliese Gordon and Bintou Kinteh.  Each student entered the annual survey contest conducted by CAA for graduating seniors in the program.  Each year, CAA conducts a survey to find out how we can improve the program for clients.  Through the participation of students, CAA receives valuable feedback that will benefit future clients.

Anneliese Gordon will receive $1,000 to use towards her expenses at Liberty University this fall.  Anneliese is from a military family, which has enabled her to live in many different parts of the world. She attended four different high schools including a stint in Germany. While in high school, her community service projects through Leo Club were especially important to her. One of her proudest accomplishments was being named Female Student of the Year at her high school, based on nominations from teachers and fellow students. She plans to major in nursing and become a pediatric nurse. It was through CAA resources that she came to the realization that she wanted to be a nurse. During time she spent in the hospital her senior year, she was able to have many conversations with the nurses assisting her. She enjoys working with people and wants to make a difference through her work.

Bintou Kinteh will receive $750 to use towards her expenses at Columbus State Community College before transferring down the road to a 4-year university.  Bintou is originally from West Africa and came to the U.S. to attend high school.  She credits CAA with helping with her college search as well as helping her know what to do and where to go in the college admissions process. Coaches assisted her with her award letters, her FAFSA, and many other topics as she completed Connection Points with the coaches. She also credits CAA for assisting her in career research. Now that Bintou is starting college, she plans to pursue a degree in nursing. Her interest in this career was sparked when she spent time in the hospital as a patient a few years ago. Everyone was so nice and helpful that it inspired her to want to work in the medical field.

CAA is a private educational-service company which provides expert college planning help to students and families nationwide. These services would be out of reach for many families, but we have successfully combined technology, a caring team of highly trained college coaches, and years of experience into a program that’s affordable to families in need of our assistance.  For more information, please visit www.caaconnect.com
