Chaser Wins Small Business App Partner of the Year at Xero Awards 2023

Chaser wins Small Business App Partner of the Year at Xero Awards 2023

Chaser, the global accounts receivables platform and credit control service provider, was named as Xero's App Partner of the Year at the UK & Ire land Xero Awards 2023.

Hosted by Alex von Schirmeister, UK & EMEA Managing Director at Xero, the awards took place at Ministry Venues, Elephant & Castle, on 19 April 2023. These awards aim to showcase the achievements of those supporting small businesses to navigate current and future challenges. Winners were judged across a number of criteria including innovation, ability to boost productivity, and provide customer solutions.

Sonia Dorais, CEO at Chaser, commented on the win, "The Xero App of the Year Award is a prestigious recognition of Chaser's shared mission with Xero to empower small businesses. Late payments remain a significant challenge for small businesses, and Chaser is committed to providing the tools they need to reduce the time spent on credit management and get paid faster. This award is a testament to Chaser's continued efforts in this space, and we are thrilled to be recognised by our partners at Xero."

Small businesses will be at the heart of economic recovery, and the role of accountants, bookkeepers and apps is more important than ever, as economic pressures affect small businesses' ability to plan ahead and manage costs.

As a result of economic pressures, businesses are now seeing more of their customers pay them late. In fact, recent research shows that today, 87% of businesses are paid after their agreed invoice due date. These late payments can have devastating impacts on small businesses and their cash flow, and in the UK alone, 50,000 businesses fail each year due to late payments (FSB).

Through Chaser and Xero's partnership, thousands of businesses worldwide have been able to automate their credit management and effectively reduce late payments, and their negative impact on cash flow. Since January 2023, businesses have already recovered over $1 billion in late payments using Chaser and Xero. Find more on all the accounting and bookkeeping and app partner winners here.
