Butler Health System's Use of Wellbe Honored in 2014 CI+T Accelerator Awards
Butler, PA, September 11, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Wellbe client, Butler Health System, was chosen as a winner in the first CI+T Accelerator Awards hosted by Clinical Innovation + Technology magazine. This program recognizes innovative projects that are helping healthcare providers achieve the triple aim.
Butler Health System’s use of Wellbe’s Guided CarePaths for total joint replacement and bariatric surgery patients won in the Patient Engagement category. There were a total of five winners across all categories for 2014.
“Patients have more choices and can decide if they want to come here or there. If you are engaged with patients, you will have more of a relationship and that’s important,” said Cynthia Esser, director of emerging technologies for Butler Health System in the article.
Wellbe designs easy-to-follow Guided CarePaths around a healthcare facility’s existing content and aligns them to their program’s clinical pathways to help patients on their journeys to better health.
“It’s great to see Butler Health System getting recognition for being a forward-thinking and innovative community hospital,” said James Dias, CEO and Founder of Wellbe. “With an industry in flux, it’s critical for all organizations to step out toward the future state of healthcare and engage their patients using digital technology.”
