NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., December 19, 2018 (Newswire.com) - Jerrybag Inc. announced that it is raising funds via a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to finish the development of SHIELD, the only backpack with a polycarbonate hardcover. The company set out to raise $5,000 on Kickstarter to finish development and produce the first batch of their latest invention that is going to change the bag apparel industry. Within 72 hours, Jerrybag Inc. obtained 100% funding on Kickstarter.
The Shield was designed as a shrunken version of the popular larger, hard-shell travel suitcase. Bringing that format to the backpack size, the Shield is perfect for work, play, and travel. The hard-case protects the contents of the backpack by softening and absorbing any impact to it, securing any gadgets or expensive items from damage, while a water-resistant design helps protects gear from inclement weather. The expandable design allows the bag to go from 25L to 35L in capacity, letting individuals carry extra items for a weekend getaway along with regular everyday items. The bag comes with 13 separate compartments, divided between two storage zones, for optimal segregation. A padded laptop sleeve gives laptops reinforced storage, while an easy-access upper slot holds items like a wallet, passport, or ticket. The bag’s padded straps and lightweight design allow it to be carried anywhere with ease, while a luggage-strap helps secure the Shield to a travel suitcase for even better mobility.

Jerrybag Inc. has announced that for each SHIELD sold, a One+ bag will be donated to Ugandan children who walk extreme distances to find and bring back water to their homes.
