Arizona Author, Joe Contrera Shares A Humorous Yet Poignant Journey On Self-Discovery

Many people live by the golden rule which challenges us to treat each other as we wish to be treated; but you can't give away something you don't have and you cannot fully love others if you don't love yourself. Untililovedme.com

Arizona author and speaker Joe Contrera has just released his second book with a different twist. "I Could Love No One Until I Loved Me", is a grown-up book for the kid in you. It focuses on a simple topic and the pressure of acceptance. It is about learning to love yourself so that you can better love the world around you. The book's question. Are you enough?

After spending 95% of his professional life in the corporate world, this particular book is not something Contrera thought he would ever dream of writing, but after experience one of the best years in his life; he had come across one of the worst. With a collapsing economy coupled by a business that was significantly impacted, ending with a divorce, Contrera he took to his journal and could not stop writing.

"In my work as a leadership speaker and executive coach, I have the amazing opportunity to speak to a lot of people. When I started talking to others about my frustrations I realized there were many like me, wandering through life in search of an answer to the same question." states author, Joe Contrera. "Everyone wanted to know why what they were doing wasn't ever enough."

Contrera kept getting nudged by the universe to do something and it was not going away anytime soon.

"For years, my own fear held me from publishing my book. I was nervous about having a client or a Fortune 100 company seeing my name listed for a professional conference with the book title, I Could Love No One…Until I Loved Me, next to it. But I realized, whether you are leader, high up on the corporate ladder, a follower, or someone in-between; you are always influencing others. On some level, everyone is concerned with impressing others, winning the approval of others, or always looking for achieving a different level of success," says Contrera.

Four years later, the book was published in almost the exact same form as it had been written in his journal in 2009.

"The book is really for those who would like the ability to embrace who they really are. Discover their purpose. It is then and only then you can unleash the greatest impact on the world," says Contrera.

I Could Love No One . . . Until I Loved Me is published by Vickie Mullins of Perfect Bound Marketing and illustrated by Kenny Durkin. In addition to his latest book, Contrera is also the author of the book LIGHT 'EM UP: How to Ignite the Fire in Your Sales Team in Just 21 Days and has also published articles on the topics of leadership development, accountability, sales success and employee engagement.
