Alliance Event Management Returned From Leadership Event

Alliance Event Management's Director, Chloe, recently brought one of her associates, Michelle, to an industry leadership event. Chloe indicated that the conference was a major success.

​​Every year, sales and marketing professionals from around the country get together for a rest and relaxation retreat, said Chloe. This year, Michelle was chosen to represent Alliance Event Management at the meetup which took place in Punta Cana. According to Chloe, the opportunity to attend the conference was a prize for performance.

“We like to bring whoever has recently won contests in the office and hit sales goals to the R&R events,” she explained. “We wanted to select who would go as fairly as possible. So, we based our choice on performance and potential. We brought our top leader, Michelle, to help her learn the leadership skills she needs to manage a company.

Chloe asserted that Michelle is on an impressive upward trajectory. Therefore, the management team was certain that she would gain a lot from networking with other leaders from around the industry. Michelle lived up to expectations and proved to be an excellent representative of Alliance Event Management.

The event included the best and brightest in the sales and marketing space. Everyone got to network while sharing ideas and experiences with each other. Additionally, leadership experts discussed key skills for success in the field.

According to Chloe, travel to conferences is one of the ways she empowers Alliance Event Management team members. By investing in their growth and learning, Chloe shows her people that she wants to see them be successful.

“An empowered team will be happier and more productive,” she said. “As a leader, it is important to trust your people. Giving them chances to learn and letting them use that new knowledge are great ways to demonstrate that trust.”

Chloe believes that the best leaders guide their people to success rather than try to micromanage. They align resources for their team members and help remove obstacles to success. She asserted that this requires humility and readiness to let go of control.

“When you have talented team members, it is easy to let them take the reins,” she concluded. “Effective delegation and empowerment is beneficial for everyone in the organization.”
