Aimeos E-Commerce Shop Bundle 1.2 for Symfony
The Aimeos community released version 1.2 of their Open Source web shop bundle and e-commerce solution for the Symfony PHP framework.
Nürnberg, Germany, October 12, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Full support for the upcoming PHP 7 is included and it offers astonishing low response times! The optimizations done by the PHP team improved the interpreter to be up to twice as fast as PHP 5.6.
Our goal is to simplify purchasing for customers, so user accounts are now created automatically after they placed their orders. There's no need to register upfront anymore and add all personal data, only annoying potential customers!
For shop owners, groups can be used to manage customers more efficiently. Additionally, it's possible to add texts, images, products, etc. to suppliers to create rich information subparts or pages about them. Stock levels for product bundles are now recalculated automatically based on the bundled products.
Developers enjoy the ability to decorate almost any class in the Aimeos library by own classes. This makes it incredible easy to add new features to existing classes without the need to change or extend a class. Furthermore, changes in the administration interface are now immediately visible by updating the core and files are not required to be copied to the public web directory first.
