ACN Once Again is Proud Presenting Sponsor for Bronko Nagurski Award

ACN Inc., a global leader in direct sales, is the presenting sponsor for the Bronko Nagurski Award, given to college football’s top defensive player. CBS Sports Network will air a recording of the award ceremony on Dec. 7 at 7 p.m.

The award is named for Hall of Famer Bronko Nagurski, who played for the Chicago Bears. The Bronko Nagurski Award is college football’s equivalent to the Heisman Trophy, which, at the Nagurski Award’s inception in 1993, had never gone to a defensive player.

“We’re so proud of our association with this award,” ACN President and co-founder Greg Provenzano said. “It’s a symbol of excellence and ACN’s involvement has become part of that.”

ACN presents the award in conjunction with Charlotte Touchdown Club. Past Bronko Nagurski winners, such as the Broncos’ Bradley Chubb, the Redskins’ Jonathan Allen and the Rams’ Aaron Donald, have gone on to star in the NFL.

Chubb, recipient in 2017, played at North Carolina State.

ACN’s support of the Bronko Nagurski Award helps provide much-needed funds for athletic programs at inner-city schools. Such assistance helps to promote outstanding citizenship, scholarship, sportsmanship and leadership in the Charlotte area.
