This 6-day, 5-night immersive study tour will be led by aromatherapy and wellness expert Dorene Petersen, ACHS President and Founder, and aromatherapy expert Mindy Green, and features in-depth exploration of indigenous botanical culture and hands-on investigation of local approaches to aromatherapy, herbal medicine, and how to cook the Mediterranean diet.
From delicious, healthy food to daily yoga (optional) and cultural tours, A Week of Mediterranean Wellness participants will be immersed in the rich Greek culture while learning about the Mediterranean diet, the health-promoting properties of local plants and herbs, and tools for everyday wellness.
“A Week of Mediterranean Wellness is more than a travel program; it’s a health and wellness immersion program,” says Dorene Petersen. “It’s ideal for adventure and knowledge seekers, but also for holistic health enthusiasts who have an appreciation of the Mediterranean culture and who want to be able to see, touch, and taste the Mediterranean’s famous herbs direct from the source.”
“Program attendees will step off the beaten path and spend the week discovering the essential oils and herbs of the region while learning new tools to achieve vitality and wellness, and experiencing all that this rich culture has to offer,” says Petersen.
A Week of Mediterranean Wellness study tour workshops include: essential oils and herbs of the Mediterranean; harvesting cultivated and wildcrafted botanicals; essential oil distillation; aromatherapy blending for wellness; herbal preparations for everyday wellness; an introduction to iridology; and an introduction to flower essences/healing with flowers.
