A Practical and Fun Way to Go Boating is Found on Indiegogo

Sarasota, Florida, October 28, 2014 (Newswire.com) - An Italian company has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to introduce their newest recreational invention to the water loving public. This campaign has a funding goal of €50,000, which needs to be raised by November 27th in order to bring their easily transportable Solar Energy Boat to market. This idea started when the inventor thought: “My partners and I live in Italy near the beautiful Lake Como, which is a dream come true for many. But we can't take advantage of everything the lake has to offer because we do not have a boat.” However, boat ownership is not simple, and it is not an option for many people because of the problems associated with it. A person must have access to either a dock or a place to store their boat, as well the funds to pay for the costly upkeep and a vehicle for towing and transport. These are problems that Solar Energy Boat promises to help an owner overcome.

The Solar Energy Boat will be easily transportable, often on the roof of the car in their own containers. The boats are self-inflatable using the included solar-energy powered electric pump, and do not require cumbersome heavy batteries. There is however, an emergency battery for use on cloudier days, which is included. Since the boat is solar-powered the navigation control is virtually unlimited thereby allowing a boater to enjoy the water all day long without needing to refill the gas tank like they would with regular boats. This feature is also very eco-friendly, which means a boater can feel good knowing that they are doing their part for the environment while having a great time. Solar Energy Boat will come in three versions: Kart, Kata, and Spider. Both the Spider and Kart are for single person use, while the Kata version is suitable for up to 4 people.

The team has already completed most of the essential groundwork for the Solar Water Boat, and have constructed fully-functioning prototypes.
