Massachusetts eyes expansion from a Top 9 to a Top 12 with five new names. Each new name is designated with a hashtag.

Last year the state produced ten FBS signees. Already in the class of 2017 there are 11 athletes that have verbally committed to DI colleges. The nine-year average per recruiting cycle is 11.

The highest new entry at #3 is athlete Noah Gray of Leominster Senior High School. Gray is a quarterback in high school; the jumbo athlete is dangerous when running the ball down the throat of defenders. He has verbally committed to Duke.

Coming in at #4 is two-way standout Jake Byczko of Lawrence Academy. Byczko plays both defensive end and tight end and could project at either position in college. He has decided to take his talents to UConn.
