$20,000 in Scholarships Awarded for CACFP Professional Development

14 Recipients to Attend National Child Nutrition Conference.

Meet Audrey from Hawaii, Caitlin from Georgia, and Patricia from Wisconsin. What do they have in common? They will be attending the National Child Nutrition Conference in San Antonio this April as one of fourteen scholarship recipients. The recipients will join over 1,200 members of the child nutrition community for an incredible few days of training. Brandon Lipps, Administrator for USDA Food and Nutrition Service, will keynote the three-day conference where attendees will choose from over 130 workshops and training programs, network with colleagues from across the country, attend offsite excursions, participate in roundtable discussions with colleagues from their region, and be able to visit with more than 50 exhibitors to learn about products to assist their work in CACFP.

For 32 years the National CACFP Sponsors Association has offered this conference as an unparalleled training, education, and networking opportunity specific to the child nutrition community. We are honored to welcome the following CACFP Participants and Scholarship Recipients: Chris Taylor, Food Bank of the Rockies, Denver, CO; Monique Perish, Choices for Families, Inc., Albuquerque, NM; Caitlin Vandini, Quality Care for Children, Atlanta, GA; Carolyn Pancarowicz, East Hartford Public Schools, East Hartford, CT; Audrey Pasion, PATCH, Honolulu, HI; Kristy Hodges, Grayson County Board of Education, Leitchfield, KY; Terri Sluss Cole, Child Care Resource Center, Lorain, OH; Benu Chhabra, Home Child Care Provider, Concord, CA; Heather Solus, Great Northern Services, Weed, CA; Patricia Newton-Powell, Penfield Children’s Center, Milwaukee, WI; Tricia Enneper, Children’s Center of the Upper Valley, Lebanon, NH; Denise Aragon, Shoshone and Arapaho Birth to Five Program, Fort Washakie, WY; Jennifer McClay, Food Bank of South Jersey, Pennsauken, NJ; and Joyce Mason, Childsavers, Richmond, VA.
