Wharton School's Knowledge@Wharton and Momentum Lead Inaugural "Knowledge Mission" to Cuba in November

The Wharton School's Knowledge@Wharton and Momentum will be leading a delegation of 30 senior business executives and investors on the inaugural "Knowledge Mission" to Cuba on November 16, 2015.

The team behind successful conferences including the Cuba Opportunity Summit, the U.S.-Cuba Corporate Counsel Summit and the Cuba Infrastructure, Finance and Investment Summit will spend four days on the island nation exploring the beauty, culture and people of Cuba while assessing first-hand the opportunities for U.S. investment.

“We are very excited to be leading this first of many delegations of senior business executives to Havana to assess the opportunities with their own eyes and experiences,” said Mukul Pandya, Executive Director/Editor-in-Chief, Knowledge@Wharton. “What can be shared in the conference room can only be realized first-hand.  The journalists of Knowledge@Wharton are always open to the opportunity to acquire a deeper perspective of the stories we cover.”

Ben Greenzweig, Founder, Cuba Opportunity Summit and Co-Founder/Co-CEO of Momentum said, “We’re excited to once again play a small role in the ongoing relationship between the U.S. and Cuba as both nations strive towards normalized relations. As a young, entrepreneurial American start-up focused on original content development and networking, we feel that providing our community of executives and investors with on the ground experiences in Cuba is the most valuable form of content and networking.”

Knowledge@Wharton and Momentum are working with OnCuba is a publication of Fuego Media Group, A Fuego Enterprises Company, presided by Hugo Cancio, a featured speaker at the inaugural Cuba Opportunity Summit.

Boris Hirmas, Mission attendee and Chairman of Tres Mares said, “I am proud to be an unofficial ambassador for both the U.S. and Latin America in Cuba and look forward to understanding how we can help the island nation’s economy, people and relationship with the U.S.”
