The Smart Can is a specialized attachment for large-capacity refuse cans that allows debris to swept directly into the receptacle as it lies on the ground. The design intent of the Smart Can is to provide a less labor-intensive way of collecting and disposing of landscape or construction debris as well as other forms of heavy waste.
The Smart Can has a ramp to make sweeping up the debris into the trash can easier and with less effort on the part of the worker. The ramp can be folded down flat for easy storage and it has spring-loaded clips on the sides and back for attaching and detaching the ramp from the Smart Can when not in use. The Smart Can would be attached to the handle ensuring a secure fit. This unit would be constructed in a “chute” design, with each side enclosed with elliptical borders and a tapered “lip” forming the front of the closure. It is easy to install and easy to use.
