Local Roofing Contractor and National Material Manufacturer Donating Work to the Las Cruces Rescue Mission

RoofCARE and APOC are donating roof repairs to the Las Cruces Gospel Rescue Mission in the 4th Annual Roof Angel Project, taking place December 3-4, 2015.

Roof Angel Project

RoofCARE, New Mexico’s sustainable roofing contractor, is partnering with APOC, a national roofing material manufacturer, for the 4th Annual Roof Angel Project. This is an annual event in which RoofCARE donates roof repairs to a non-profit in need. This year’s Roof Angel Project will take place from Thursday, December 3rd to Friday, December 4th, at the Las Cruces Gospel Rescue Mission (LCGRM). RoofCARE will be repairing the roofs on two buildings at their main property, located at 1050 W Amador Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88005.

Both buildings are used for housing full-time LCGRM volunteers that live on the property. One of the roofs is leaking and both are in need of repairs and maintenance. These problematic roofs present a difficult obstacle for the Rescue Mission, who, like many non-profits, struggle to make capital repairs to their facilities. APOC has generously offered to donate the materials needed to make the repairs and RoofCARE will be carrying out the work, which will include leak repairs and preventative maintenance. RoofCARE will also donate a year of SmartCARE, a preventative maintenance program, to ensure the roofs remain leak-free.

We're excited to continue this fantastic program for the 4th straight year and raise awareness for such a great organization!

Jonathan Small, Marketing Director

RoofCARE is a full-service commercial roofing contractor that utilizes a unique approach, focused on cost-efficient and sustainable solutions and avoiding premature roof replacement. They help their customers manage their roofing assets more effectively through maintenance, repair and renovation services. Since being founded in 2008, RoofCARE has experienced consistent growth and now serves commercial and government clients throughout New Mexico and West Texas, with branches in Albuquerque and Las Cruces. This growth is attributed to their approach to the roofing industry and a high level of customer service and quality of work.

APOC is the commercial roofing division of Gardner Industries and has been successfully working with facility managers, building owners and property managers since the 1960s. Their extensive research and development, technical expertise and dedication to the customer have resulted in a high performance product line that provides dependable assets with extendable warranties and lower life cycle costs. The Gardner family of companies is proud to support a wide variety of national charitable causes and institutions including the American Red Cross and the Children’s Miracle Network.

The Las Cruces Gospel Rescue Mission was originally founded in 1972 by Reverend Darrel Bean. They acquired their current, three-acre property in 1988, which allowed them to expand the scope of their services. The Mission provides for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of homeless, poor and needy. They do so through the provision of basic physical needs (i.e. food, shelter, clothing, and hygiene), outreach, job training and life skills, with the goal of helping the less fortunate re-assimilate and become productive citizens. They provide emergency food and lodging services 24 hours a day, rely on volunteers and donations and do not accept government funding. RoofCARE and APOC would like to challenge other contractors and material manufacturers to follow their lead and donate, however they can, to the LCGRM and other non-profits. They believe our state can be a better place if we all give back to the community and the less fortunate.
