Deans Installs Markilux 1710 Patio Awning With Arms Bigger Than the Width

A new type of customised patio awning was installed for a customer by an awnings manufacturer.

The customer, who wished to remain anonymous, wanted a patio awning that was longer in the projection than the width that was available to fit onto the wall of his house and the Markilux 1710 Stretch awning fitted the bill.

Deans installed a vibro box wind sensor to the awning for extra security. The awning was wirelessly controlled via a Somfy RTS remote switch - giving it "armchair" control. The VibroBox is a neat wire free wind sensor, it fits inside the front profile of the awning so it is completely out of view. The sensor monitors the awning in windy conditions, when the wind gets too high and the awning starts to bounce up and down the VibroBox activates and automatically retracts the awning.  The fabric chosen was the Markilux Sunsilk 32877 with the option of having a straight valance.

Deans then announced to the public that if they need an awning to cover their patio but they think the wall it is being fitted on is too short then they can contact Deans and ask about the Markilux 1710 Stretch. Deans proudly claim that it may be the perfect solution.
