Un-Needed knowledge, and Neglected knowing
Online, September 16, 2009 (Newswire.com) - As we view many news stations daily they have segments that are suppose to be informing and to the best interest of the consumer. They focus in on car prices, gas prices, celebrity news, skin care, hair care, dog grooming, clothes cleaning products, food preparation and today on ABC 2, "cheese".
All of these things hold an interest but what about some of the more important, pressing topics in life?
I have been pressing to get a segment done an a new trend to the funeral trade of "at need" funeral planning that a new company PJs Funeral Planners has developed. Death is a topic in life that we are faced with everyday. It affects families nationwide and is a topic that will never end. But for some reason the topic is shunned by publicist and news stations as if it is an uncommon act or topic, is it that much of an unethical segment? NO
Apart of life is death, and in life we have to make decisions based on death. I would rather for people to be informed with it out in the open than for them to be uneducated, regretful and displease without it.
Families have questions and need to be conveyed information, just as they learn of a death they need to learn of how to handle death. So ABC, and all the other stations out there just as you inform us of tragic and untimely deaths inform us of helpful resources to assist these families along the way.
I call out these stations and challenge them to deliver to our people a resourceful guide, a much needed service a segment on AT NEED funeral planning. Not Pre-planning but at need which is much more needed than a segment on cheese.
