UCP of Central Florida Awarded Grant From Kiwanis Club Orlando
Online, May 4, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Orlando, FL - April 28, 2010 - UCP of Central Florida was recently selected by Kiwanis Club Orlando as one of seven non-profit organizations in Central Florida that offer outstanding support and services for children.
Kiwanis Club Orlando members presented UCP of Central Florida with a $1,000 grant that is part of the club's quarterly micro-grant program, which offers members an opportunity to nominate a 501(c)(3) organization.
Marni Stahlman, Senior Director of Development at UCP of Central Florida, accepted the award on UCP's behalf. "We have a great relationship with our local Kiwanis Club," says Stahlman. "We appreciate all the support that they give us and other area organizations as well."
UCP of Central Florida also partnered with the Kiwanis Club Orlando for a recent golf tournament this April that raised over $10,000 for the organization. "A record 108 golfers participated this year," said Stahlman. "It was a big success for us."
