The South-Western Bathhouse And Tea Room Brings A Russian Tradition To Mississauga!
Online, January 2, 2012 (Newswire.com) - After a year of construction, this family business is ready to open on January 2nd! Call it a sauna, steam room, baths or banya, it's an ideal place to unwind and enjoy good company. Countries such as Finland and Turkey and Russia have made steaming a big part of their heritage and for good reason! Aside from being one of the best ways to relax, steaming also has numerous health benefits. Regular steaming can help strengthen the immune system, improve blood circulation, cleanse and enhance the skin and help relieve muscle and stress tension!
The South-Western Bathhouse has a traditional Russian style banya, a dry sauna and a Turkish steam room. There is a cold tub for cooling off, and a large selection of premium tea for warming up. Delicious finger foods are available, and a liquor license is in the works! The leisure room is decorated with antique samovars and tea-pots that make you feel as though you're in Russia herself. The South-Western Bathhouse has beautiful high ceilings and is decorated in the Tudor style. Paintings and pictures dress the walls and the atmosphere is very homey.
The proud owners are husband and wife Victor and Valentina Tourianski. "I can't believe that it's finally finished!" says Valentina. The idea came to them after Victor built a small Bathhouse in their backyard. It grew in popularity almost overnight; all their friends began visiting weekly. "Even our daughters' friends, who knew little about the tradition, began asking to come around for a steam!" says Victor.
Their hope is not only to satisfy people who already love steaming, but to bring this amazing cultural staple to life on the border of Mississauga and Etobikoke! So come and try it out! The South-Western Bathhouse is located at 2200 Dundas St. East, Mississauga.
