The Eileen Morgan Foundation Will Host a Fundraiser Dinner & Golf Tournament to Raise Money for Cancer Patients.

The Eileen Morgan Foundation will host a fundraiser dinner to be held at The Nittany Lion Inn on August 16, 2013 and a Celebrity Golf Tournament to be held on August 17, 2013 at Skytop Mountain Golf Club in State College, PA.

Although 1 in 4 people will get cancer in their lifetime, a new study from the American Cancer Society states that over one million deaths were avoided in the past two decades as a result of cancer treatments. But what about those who can't afford treatment? The Eileen Morgan Foundation (EMF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation dedicated to providing financial aid to cancer patients who need assistance with their co-payments for cancer treatments. Created by a cancer survivor and PSU alum, the foundation is hoping to raise money with its two fundraisers: The EMF Fundraiser Dinner to be held at The Nittany Lion Inn on August 16, 2013 and The EMF Celebrity Golf Tournament to be held on August 17, 2013 at Skytop Mountain Golf Club in State College, PA.

The Friday Night Fundraiser Dinner will feature keynote speaker Sue Paterno. Mrs. Paterno will speak on the foundation's goals including a newly established endowment fund.

The golf outing will feature celebrity golfers who are former NFL players and Penn State football lettermen. The outing is open to the public and everyone will have a chance to meet celebrities such as Pro Football Hall of Famer Franco Harris, former NFL running back and Major League baseball player D.J. Dozier, and PA Hall of Famer Blair Thomas. There will be contests, great prizes, raffles and a superb BBQ spread by Prospector's. All proceeds will go directly to the EMF cancer funds that are distributed to cover
co-payments for surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments.

The Eileen Morgan Foundation relies 100% on corporate and individual donations. The success of these events depends solely on the dinner attendees, golfers, and sponsors. The EMF is looking for sponsorships and prize donations from local businesses, corporations, doctor's offices and hospitals. Complete dinner and golf tournament information can be found at www.emf.intherough.net.

The primary mission of the Eileen Morgan Foundation is to support individuals financially by assisting those in need with their co-payments for cancer treatments, while also offering emotional and spiritual support throughout their journey toward wellness. The foundation is currently supported four patients undergoing cancer treatments in Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. For more information, visit www.eileenmorganfoundation.org.
