The 4th Annual Brazilian Festival of Pompano Beach

My Safe Harbor Celebrates South Florida Culture and Collects Donations for the Community

Brazil’s love, passion, rhythm, and excitement came together on Oct 17, 2015 at the Pompano Beach Community Park for the 4th year in a row. The event was home to 2 stages, 100 vendors/exhibitors, Brazilian local bands, international headliners, and traditional dancers. The festival was a true celebration of Brazil’s Art, Culture, Music and Cuisine.

My Safe Harbor, the 501(c)3 non-profit organization, joined this year’s festivities to learn, celebrate, and work with the community to collect canned food and monetary donations as one of the 100 venders to support and attend the event.

My Safe Harbor provides food and financial aid to children and families in low income areas. Their primary focus currently is supporting the Seagull Alternative High School with after school programs and the expansion of the food and supply pantry for at risk students.

Festival attendee and board member of My Safe Harbor, Dr. Lisa Goldberg said “This year’s fundraiser at the 4th Annual Brazilian Festival was a huge success and My Safe Harbor is already looking forward to next year’s event. There's no limit to what this community can accomplish when we work together."
