TechBreakfast, the nation’s largest monthly morning tech meetup, announces the global release of TechBreakfast To Go, a mobile app that is now available on iTunes and Google Play. Created by TechBreakfast partner and mobile application developer, DonQuiSoft, the app enhances the TechBreakfast experience for presenters, attendees and sponsors and build a greater sense of community among all members.

DonQuiSoft’s TechBreakfast To Go app provides users with access to all past, present and future TechBreakfast events across the world. Each event listing includes the date, a direct link to RSVP, a map of the event location and a list of presenters and sponsors. Events can be filtered by city for a streamlined viewing experience. Each presenter has a detailed profile with their company’s web address, email address, Twitter handle and a brief description of the company.

"We believe this app can grow with our organization and we will continue to add features to meet the changing needs of our members."

Ron Schmelzer , Founder

“Since there are so many TechBreakfast events happening every month, each with its own set of presenters and sponsors, our first concern was organizing all of the information into an easy to use resource,” says DonQuiSoft President, Greg Winton. “Future updates to the app will include the ability to log in, provide feedback on specific presentations and comment on the events themselves. It will be a way for the community to create an ongoing dialog and support network for startups.”

TechBreakfast began in Baltimore in 2011 with just a few people sitting around a table, having breakfast and sharing their demos. The organization has grown to almost 12,000 members attending monthly events in nine cities across the U.S. Recognizing that such exponential growth could both benefit members and undermine the group’s sense of community, Founder Ron Schmelzer sought a technical solution apropos of TechBreakfast.

“As we looked ahead, we saw TechBreakfast continuing to expand to new cities around the U.S. and even around the world. We needed a way to integrate all of the TechBreakfast members from across the country into a larger Tech Breakfast community that transcends any specific event,” explained Schmelzer. “We believe this app can grow with our organization and we will continue to add features to meet the changing needs of our members.”
