Practice Management Institute To Provide Medical Office Staff Training Classes In Charleston, SC
Online, March 11, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Practice Management Institute (PMI) today announced a new training partnership with the Charleston County Medical Society, which will facilitate affordable medical practice-specific training and credentialing opportunities for its membership throughout the region.
"Our objective in partnering with PMI is to offer our members and their staff the widest possible range of educational opportunities. Future courses will teach to the best skill sets and practices in order to meet the business management and regulatory challenges faced daily by those we serve," said CCMS Executive Director Margaret Mays.
PMI training focuses on helping providers with topics focused on the business side of running the practice. Classes covering important topics such as CPT Coding and ICD-10 Coding will be held in the fall at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital in Charleston. These classes will improve the skills of experienced coders and provide specific guidance on code updates for providers and their coding staff.
A certification program for medical office managers will be held in September. This class will cover personnel, financial, risk management, and compliance topics.
