'Oktoberfest Tampa' celebrates 200 Yr Anniversary of Oktoberfest on the waterfront in Tampa!
Online, September 16, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Details Oktoberfest Tampa is a celebrating the 200 year anniversary of a traditional German celebration that takes place annually in Munich, Germany.
This year Oktoberfest Tampa will be hosted at the premier waterfront location of The Heights Tampa, and will include Tampa's largest Beer Hall with a wide variety of cold beers on tap. The Beer Hall will be decorated with themes of famous beer tents that Munich Oktoberfest offers. We will also have live music, traditional German food, festival friendly competitions and prizes all day, a waterfront beer garden with skyline view of downtown Tampa, boat rides throughout the day, and an on-site beer school lead by 'Special Hoperations" for beer brewing education!
Our outdoor and waterfront beer garden is the perfect place to enjoy a cold beverage while watching the beer stein running, keg tossing and barrel rolling competitions! Our hourly boat cruises along the Hillsborough River offer additional cool and refreshing change of pace from your hectic work week as you drink your Warsteiner and sit back and relax on the cruise! The adjacent Waterworks Park is also open for waterfront strolling and having an open area for kids to run around!
Transportation to the event will be supported by water taxi and the green fleet courtesy cab company. Their contact information is available on our event website. Parking is FREE and entrance to the event will be free for men and women of the Armed Forces.
