New Publicity Channel Report Outlines How a Simple But Profound Step Can Transform a Small PR Agency or Solopreneur into a Publicity Powerhouse

The Publicity Channel, a new online community serving small public relations agencies and solopreneurs, has declared 2013 as The Year of the Little Guy and aims to transform 25 small PR agencies and solopreneurs into larger ones by December 31.

In a new report released today, What Will It Take to Finally Become the Publicity Powerhouse You've Always Dreamed of Being?, The Publicity Channel examines how the typical workday tasks and the solutions small business owners typically dream of don't typically contribute to or foster profitability.

The report examines a short list of the most popular items on the solopreneur's wish list and illustrates how and why one could acquire those items and still not generate revenue, and what single change one could make to uplevel operations to profitability.

In 2010, there were 27.9 million small business and over three quarters of those were non-employers - which could mean that nearly 21 million solopreneurs were not profitable enough to grow their businesses beyond themselves.

"If even 1% of all solopreneurs become profitable enough to employ others, it could have an important impact on our economy," says The Publicity Channel founder, Antoinette Nue. "Now imagine that kind of power - to become profitable - in the hands of a publicist whose job it is to help small businesses grow; we could create a pay-it-forward effect."

In order to reach its goal, the community will use blog articles, broadcasts, and self-paced learning modules to address specific competencies every small public relations business needs to master to grow to profitability and help their clients do the same. The Publicity Channel offers media contact lists and media monitoring service at prices small PR agencies and solopreneurs can afford.
