Mrs. Pinkelmeyer and Moopus McGlinden Take a Stand Against Bullying
Online, December 6, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Bullying has hit epidemic proportions and it is time to take a stand to wipe out this deadly crisis. It is not enough to say that you are against bullying, more needs to be done. Mrs. Pinkelmeyer and Moopus McGlinden, along with their creator, Jennifer Kelman are doing just that. They have recently launched a new Facebook page A World Without Bullies. "It is designed to be a safe haven, a place for peace and solace for those that have or are being bullied. We are also encouraging individuals to no longer be silent by-standers," Kelman says. They will be launching their website soon which will offer schools the opportunity to have Jennifer in as a guest speaker to get the dialogue going between students, parents and teachers. Her goal is to encourage the silent bystanders to find their voices and prevent another episode. "85 percent of bullying attacks take place without intervention, and this is maddening," says Kelman. As Mrs. Pinkelmeyer and Moopus take on this task their goal is to help not only the victims of bullying but also mobilize the silent witnesses and offer support to them as well.
Mrs. Pinkelmeyer and Moopus McGlinden are children's characters that Kelman has created. Together they inspire self-esteem in children through their love, warmth and silliness. Mrs. Pinkelmeyer looks and acts silly and could almost be ripe for being a victim of bullying. Her self-esteem helps her to hold her head high and stand tall against any form of bullying.
Mrs. P, Moopus and Jennifer Kelman will begin to make their rounds in the schools to encourage all to take a stand. Kelman insists that individuals should not just stand there, but rather, DO SOMETHING! Kelman also plans to release a new song on bullying and will be available soon.
