Please join Manna, Inc., DC's leading developer and builder of for-sale housing to low-income persons, on Thursday, June 9, 2011 as we celebrate the completion of the Cardozo Court Condominium in Columbia Heights. This new construction project will provide 15 low-to moderate income families the opportunity for homeownership.

Manna will be joined by John Hall, Director of the District of Columbia's Department of Housing and Community Development, representatives from Local Initiative Support Corporation, BB&T and NeighborWorks America, and the future homeowners of the Cardozo Court.

The Cardozo Court Condominium project is an amazing opportunity for Manna to offer fifteen units of affordable housing in the popular Columbia Heights neighborhood. This is a new construction project aimed at providing homeownership opportunities to low income, first time homebuyers. Manna acquired this property through the District's Homestead Housing Preservation program so acquisition costs were very low in exchange for a commitment to sell units affordable to households earning up to 80% of Area Median Income (AMI). Each unit will include one off-street parking space in the rear of the building.

This project is made possible with support from Local Initiative Support Corporation, BB&T, the District Department of Housing and Community Development and NeighborWorks America.

This past Saturday June 4th, Manna was joined by John Bowman, Director of the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS), representatives from OTS, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and NeighborWorks America to kick off National NeighborWorks Week with a planting and landscaping project at the Cardozo Court.
